DAFFODILS – For One Night Only Exhibition Release 

Some pieces are more than just paintings - they’re places you return to, year after year, in every sense of the word.

My “Daffodils” is a deeply personal landscape of a quiet bench in Sefton Park, where I sit most days with my poodle Franco. Through every season, this spot has been my anchor - a space of stillness, reflection, and renewal.

Between March and April, daffodils bloom across this field, transforming it into something golden, gentle, and full of life. It’s at this moment every year - right on time with the lunar calendar - that I begin to feel like myself again. Re-centred. Recharged. Reminded of the beauty in simply being here.

What makes this piece even more special: the daffodils in the painting are real. Collected from that very field, pressed by hand, and delicately layered into the work using a mixed media technique alongside acrylic. They’re not just symbols - they’re part of the place itself.

The daffodils were originally planted by the Marie Curie Foundation, a charity that holds deep meaning for mine and many families. This entire piece, from concept to final brushstroke, is full of memory, gratitude, and love.

At approx 24x30 inches, “Daffodils” is not just something to look at - it’s something to feel. A one-of-a-kind work that quietly holds space for peace, for hope, and for the quiet joy that comes with being alive.
